Q2. How do I open an incognito/inprivate window on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge internet browsers?
This is the best way to access the SFR Medical Portal. An incognito/inprivate window stops the browser from saving your browsing activity; it ensures your username or email address from any other window does not conflict with the SFR Medical login.
To open an incognito/inprivate window simply:

  • open Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge internet browsers
  • at the top right of your screen, click on the three dots icon and select New Incognito Window or New InPrivate Window
  • in the new window that opens type portal.sfrmedical.co.uk into the web address bar.

Q3. My verification code for sign up/sign in to the SFR Medical Portal has not arrived, what should I do?
The verification code usually takes up to 30 seconds to arrive in your respective email inbox, but can take a full three minutes. If after three minutes you have not received a verification code via email, please check your internet connection and the junk folder of your email account. Please also ensure that you have used Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your internet browser. If you are still having difficulties receiving the verification code, please email sfrmedical.helpdesk@nhs.net or call 01234 943444.

Q4. Which method should I choose for receiving the OTP code to enable me to sign into the SFR Medical Portal (I already have an account): email or mobile phone?
We highly recommend selecting to send the OTP code to your work mobile phone. This is because the average delivery of the code is much quicker to your work mobile phone compared to your email account. You only have to enter your work mobile phone number the first time you use this method; every time you log into the SFR Medical Portal after that you simply have to select the phone method and the OTP code will automatically be sent to your work mobile phone.

Q5. I’m having difficulty accessing the SFR Medical Portal and/or completing my profile page. What should I do?
Please note that you should be using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge internet browsers to sign up/sign into the SFR Medical Portal.
However, if you are facing difficulties, the SFR Medical Team can help via email: (sfrmedical.helpdesk@nhs.net) or phone (01234 943444) on weekdays between 09:00 and 17:00.

Q6. I'm a Metropolitan Police officer and I've clicked on the Sign In for Met Police link from the homepage. What username and password should I use?
If you are a Metropolitan Police Officer and you've clicked on the Sign In for Met Police link from the homepage, the username you should use is your @met.police.uk email address, and the password is your Foundation password.
